  • We are looking for a talented short-form video editor specializing in automotive content for a long-term collaboration.
  • We operate an automotive repair and service business. We will provide the raw footage and your job is to turn it into high-quality, engaging and professional short-form videos for social media.
  • Approximately 25-30 finished videos per month.
  • Typical length: 15-30 seconds per video.
  • You will handle the editing and final delivery.
  • We are looking for someone who can work consistently every month and maintain the same quality across a large number of videos.
  • WE DO NOT USE BACKGROUND MUSIC IN OUR VIDEOS.
  • Do not use trending TikTok music, Instagram music, background music or music-driven editing.
  • If your editing style depends heavily on music to make the video engaging, this project is not a good fit for you.
  • Instead, we want professional sound design using natural workshop sounds, engine sounds, tools, diagnostics, mechanical sounds, air tools, clicking, drilling, cleaning, testing and other authentic automotive sounds.
  • The ability to make a video engaging without music is one of the most important requirements of this job.

  • Therefore, the editor must be able to get the best possible result from imperfect raw footage.
  • All videos should be delivered in 9:16 vertical format and 1080 x 1920 minimum resolution.
  • Videos must be suitable for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • Please provide 3-5 of your best automotive short-form videos that you personally edited.
  • Please do not send only a general video production portfolio.
  • We want to see the quality of your actual short-form editing.

  • TEST EDIT
  • Before selecting the long-term editor, we may ask shortlisted candidates to complete a short test edit using our actual automotive footage.
  • This allows us to evaluate your actual editing ability rather than relying only on your profile, rating or portfolio.
  • We are looking for a reliable editor for a long-term relationship.
  • The initial workload is approximately 25-30 videos per month.
  • Our target budget is approximately 150-200 USD per month for approximately 25 videos.
  • However, we are willing to consider higher prices for an editor who demonstrates significantly higher quality.
  • Please only apply if you are genuinely comfortable creating professional short-form automotive content without background music.
  • If your portfolio is primarily based on music-driven TikTok or Instagram edits, this project is probably not the right fit.

  • Voice-over, captions and carefully selected sound effects can also be used where appropriate.

  • The opening needs to immediately capture attention.
  • Do not waste the first seconds with long logo animations or unnecessary introductions.
  • Start with the most interesting visual moment available.

  • You should understand how to create a strong visual hook and retain attention.
  • RAW FOOTAGE
  • The footage will usually be recorded by us using smartphones and basic equipment.
  • It will not always be professionally filmed.
  • You should be comfortable with selecting the best shots, removing unusable footage, cropping and reframing, stabilisation, colour correction, exposure correction, improving composition, creating rhythm from simple clips and professional sound design.
  • You should also be able to understand the basic story of a repair from the footage and arrange the clips logically.
  • We are also improving our filming process over time.
  • REQUIRED QUESTIONS
  • Please briefly explain your approach to sound design, natural workshop audio, pacing, hooks, captions and storytelling.
  • The test will be approximately 15-20 seconds.
  • The same raw footage will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
  • NO BACKGROUND MUSIC is permitted in the test.
  • LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY
