I'm looking for a Python developer with experience using the OpenAI API to build an automated content generation tool for an astrology journaling app. I have an Excel workbook containing thousands of astrology combinations (planets, signs, houses, aspects, etc.) and associated keywords. I need a Python script that reads each row, sends the data to the OpenAI API using a carefully engineered prompt, validates the response, and writes the generated content back into the workbook. For each row, the script will generate: - A three-paragraph interpretation base3d on keyword combinations - A seven-keyword summary - Five insightful journal prompts with accompanying context/explanations The writing must follow a strict style guide, including tone, formatting, paragraph structure, active voice, British/Australian English, and other quality rules. The script should validate the output before writing it to the workbook and automatically retry failed or invalid responses. Key requirements: - Python - OpenAI API integration - Excel automation (openpyxl) - Structured outputs (JSON/Pydantic or similar) - Prompt engineering - Resume from last completed row - Automatic checkpoint saving - Error handling and retry logic - Well-commented, maintainable code The solution should be scalable, allowing me to regenerate the workbook if I change the prompt, writing style, or model in the future. This is the first phase of a larger project that will eventually generate tens of thousands of astrology interpretations for an app, so there is potential for ongoing work.
